Moctezuma Mejia

Moctezuma Mejía is a gymnastics coach with over 25 years of experience developing young athletes in both the United States and Mexico. Throughout his career, he has worked consistently with children’s groups, specializing in teaching technical fundamentals and progressive skill development. This lifelong dedication has made him a respected figure in the field of men’s artistic gymnastics.

Based in San Diego, California, he currently serves as the head coach of the boys’ program at one of the most prestigious gymnastics clubs in the region. Under his guidance, many athletes have earned state and national titles, recognized for their technique, discipline, and love for the sport.

What truly sets Moctezuma apart is his innovative approach to coaching. His hands-on experience with young gymnasts has allowed him to develop unique training methods that prioritize progression, creativity, and safety. As a result of this vision, he has created over 10 specialized products designed to make gymnastics training more effective, engaging, and accessible from the very beginning.

Together with his friend and colleague Aldo Buelna, he co-founded Evolution Equipment Gymnastics (eE Gymnastics)—a company dedicated to designing practical, efficient, and fun training solutions for coaches and gymnasts alike. Every product he develops reflects his commitment to excellence, functionality, and a genuine passion for teaching.

His mission is clear: to make gymnastics more accessible, safer, and above all, more fun for everyone. Because when kids enjoy the process, progress comes faster—and with a smile.

Aldo Buelna

Currently based in Temecula, California, Aldo serves as the gym manager and a member of the coaching staff at Agility Kids Gymnastics — a highly respected facility with an outstanding boys’ gymnastics program. The gym consistently develops high-level athletes, including those preparing to compete at the collegiate level, as well as athletes who have represented the United States in international competitions. Working in this high-performance environment has sharpened Aldo’s ability to help gymnasts reach their full potential.

Aldo brings over 15 years of experience as a gymnastics coach, playing a key role in the development of the gym’s competitive program, with a strong focus on foundational training and athlete progression. He has successfully guided gymnasts through every stage of development — from recreational levels to elite competition. His creativity in building efficient, high-impact class systems has helped meet the demands of a growing student base and fast-paced training environment.

Before relocating to the U.S., Aldo was part of the state gymnastics program in Mexico, serving as a developmental coach. During this time, he helped prepare athletes for national championships and coached multiple junior national champions. He also owned and managed his own gymnastics gym in Mexico, gaining valuable experience in both coaching and gym operations.

Aldo’s passion for athlete development, program innovation, and international coaching experience is a driving force behind the mission of Evolution Equipment Gymnastics.
